Matheson Hammock Park
Coastal nature, mature oak hammocks with Spanish moss, and a coral atoll pool. Classic, raw Miami at its finest.
Classic & Natural Miami
Matheson Hammock is one of Miami's oldest and most historic parks, located in Coral Gables. It is famous for its dense mangrove forests, massive oak trees draped in Spanish moss, and historic 1930s coral stone pavilions.
The park features a unique circular saltwater pool (the atoll pool) naturally flushed by the tides of Biscayne Bay, offering mirror-still water and a beautiful line of palm trees against the city skyline.
